Welcome to ACT READY! The ACT Test Prep Course at Dayton Mercy Society in collaboration with Islamic Society of Greater Society. We had such a great turn out last time that we have decided to add another sessions. This intensive course conducted by a master coach will prepare high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors for the ACT college entrance exam. Students learn test-taking strategies and essential knowledge for the four test sections of English, Math, Reading, and Science. As we cover test-taking methods geared specifically for the ACT and review homework assignments, students will gain confidence in their test-taking abilities and strengthen their knowledge in the core areas of grammar, reading comprehension, algebra, and geometry. A few points on this important exam can make all the difference on a college application! To stay cost effective, there be no required book. Students will be required to print a 25 page double-sided test from a pdf file, which will be sent ahead of time.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Sean Simon, PhD is owner of Simon Academy Tutoring in Dayton, Ohio. He has been coaching test success on the ACT, SAT, and PSAT in groups and one-on-one for over 15 years. Sean has a B.A. from Duke University in the Legal and Ethical Implications of Science, M.A. from the University of Amsterdam in Philosophy and Cultural Analysis, and PhD from New York University in Performance Studies.
