Asalamuailakum, we have a great opportunity to partake in feeding the fasting at ICC. We have sponsored Iftars on Saturdays March 22nd, and 29th. Sponsorship is just $20 per person and we feed hundreds of families every Saturday in Ramadan. Consider donating to the cause, bring your family & friends, and enjoy a community Iftar at ICC. There are MANY needy families that are supported during these Iftars. We cater food from local Muslim owned businesses.
We need to raise $10,000 to feed the fasting for the next 2 Iftars. Example: feed 5 people = donate $100
In Islam, feeding the fasting during Ramadan is a highly encouraged act of charity and self-improvement.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that feeding a fasting person will result in the same reward as the fasting person, without reducing their reward.
Why feed the fasting?
To share blessings, To ensure no one goes hungry, To gain rewards for oneself, To spread joy to those in need, and To fulfill a duty to the Prophet Muhammad.
How to feed the fasting?
-Donate to organizations that provide food to the fasting
-Invite others to break their fast with you
-Feed the needy in your local area
